Ashley
Funstar Teacher
From an early age, Ashley attended ballet classes, learnt piano and clarinet and during her teenage years played in pit bands and acted in plays. She went on to complete a degree in Performing Arts and then trained to be a teacher.
Ashley has taught Drama and Music in a range of schools for over 30 years. Over that time she has directed plays and musicals such as Grease, The Wizard of Oz, Blood Brothers, Oliver!, Guys and Dolls and Annie to name a few. Before moving to Rugby, she ran youth theatre workshops at the Crescent Theatre in Birmingham and she has also devised pieces of theatre which have been performed at the Castle Theatre in Wellingborough.
Since 2017, Ashley has been the drama teacher at Rugby Theatretrain and has had the privilege of working with young people from the ages of 6 – 18 and has helped devise work that has been performed at The Royal Albert Hall and Sadler's Wells.
Ashley is very excited to be working with Funstar and looking forward to instilling a love of Musical Theatre in young people.
