Philippa
Funstar Teacher
Philippa has been dancing and performing for 45 years. She started her full time vocational training at 16 years old studying theatre dance subjects,drama and singing. During this time she was a junior associate with the Royal Ballet and won the IDTA Ballet Artist Scholarship in 1992.
She then went into a professional career in performing and then teaching - her true love.
Her experience is wide ranging and includes working with children and professionals, both syllabus and freework.
Philippa is a IDTA Theatre Branch examiner, holding fellowships, licentiates and associates with the IDTA and ISTD.
Philippa has been interviewed on radio about issues regarding the arts and written for magazines on the subject. She presented "keep smiling... keep active" - exercise on the radio and "motiv-attic" - a motivational upload on an internet station - radio attic!
Philippa is passionate about theatre, exercise and emotional and physical wellbeing and is excited to be working with Funstar and is dedicated to passing her passion on!
